Pizza Box Sizes UK: A 7 to 16 Inch Guide for Takeaways
Choosing the right pizza box size keeps pizzas hot, stops toppings sliding and avoids paying for cardboard you do not need. This guide covers the standard UK pizza box sizes and what each one is used for.
Standard pizza box sizes
- 7 inch – kids' pizzas, calzone and garlic bread.
- 9 and 10 inch – small and medium pizzas and meal deals.
- 14 inch – large pizzas.
- 16 inch – extra-large and family sharing pizzas.
As a rule, pick the box that matches your pizza diameter: a box much larger than the pizza lets it slide in transit, while a tight fit crushes the crust.
How many boxes are in a case?
Our smaller sizes (7, 9 and 10 inch) come in cases of 90 and the larger sizes (14 and 16 inch) in cases of 40. Boxes arrive flat-packed, so a case takes little storage space until you fold them.
Printed or plain?
Classic Italiano boxes are corrugated cardboard with the familiar Italiano print and steam vents that help keep bases crisp. Premium Grey boxes use a heavier-grade unprinted grey board – a clean look you can brand with your own sticker or stamp.
What to check before you order
- Measure your largest pizza after baking, not the dough ball.
- Order one box size for each pizza size on your menu rather than boxing small pizzas in large boxes.
- Check that folded boxes fit your delivery bags.
